Groovy / Grails Added into Standard NetBeans Distribution (Roman Strobl)
Grails, Roman Strobl June 25th, 2008
Roman recently announced that Groovy/Grails support will be available in NetBeans 6.5, but you can try it out today with a nightly build. We have know for a few months ago that Sun was working on Groovy/Grails support and that you could test those features by downloading the development version of NetBeans 6.1 and beyond, which is why these news is a refreshing one, no need to mess around with bleeding edge versions. Milestone 1 of NetBeans 6.5 looks to be released pretty soon so stay tuned at http://www.netbeans.org.
Granted, NetBeans may not be the dominant IDE in the market, but it is really good to see that it is also providing official support for Groovy and Grails.
